Emily has worked with organizations such as UNICEF, CBM Australia, The World Literacy Foundation, Action Aid, GIZ, and numerous print magazines and newspapers in the US and Europe. She is also an independent press correspondent in Ethiopia and speaks conversational Amharic. Emily is represented by Shoot the Earth, an agency that is based in London, England.
Emily has shot for numerous ad and marketing agencies and speicializes in architectural photography. She was commissioned to photograph the Algerian Embassy in Addis Ababa and more recently she has been working with the Royal Canadian Mint and Ethiopian Airlines on several commissioned projects.
Emily has worked as a photography producer and director for books, magazines, and films. Her unique experience overseas has led her to work with filmmakers from all over the world. She now acts as a fixer and consultant to filmmakers covering stories in Ethiopia and Africa. Previously, she worked as a producer of Empires in the Forest, published by The Rivanna Foundation in 2007. More recently, she worked as a still photgrapher on the documentary production, Millennium Ethiopia, which is currently in post-production.
